Captured this very soft early morning rainbow which I thought might brighten up someone's day. It reminds me of this quote by Maya Angelou"Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud"
Day 71 Turf
Didn't have much time for photo taking but managed to get a photo taken each day, not necessarily on prompt or with a lot of time to spend on them.
Day 72 Photograph on the Edge
Did a bit of prompt swapping! Instead of pokey I photographed 'on the edge'. Was a bit rushed but managed to get this.
Day 73 Pokey
Thistles which, although many people spend a lot of time trying to get rid of them, do make wonderful subjects! Close up they are spectacular and definitely textured, sharp and pointed, with the added bonus of vibrant colour!
Day 75 Patterns
Repeating patterns in our heart ...
Day 76 Photograph Markings
I love the markings in feathers - such exquisite artworks created by nature!
Day 77 Repetition
Not a lot of inspiration flying around today, so took this shot in the stationary shop!
Day 78 Shadow
The foliage of the yucca tree makes for great shadows in bright morning sun!
Day 79 Stitched
My Mum is so clever with a needle - whether it be sewing clothes, embroidery, knitting or quilting. She lives just around the corner from me, so for today's prompt I would have been so spoiled for choice! But I am not at home today! I am in another part of the country. But I do have with me, my beautiful bed quilt which my Mum made for me some years ago. I have previously featured this quilt in another day's picture but it really fits the prompt so well, and as you can tell because it comes with me whenever I can, it is something I love very much. She originally made it as a wedding present for me. Unfortunately, my marriage did not last. However, my beautiful quilt has, and reminds me not of lost love, but of a mothers love which will forever be wrapped around me.
Day 80 Polka Dots
A bit of a rush this morning to get on the road with two little people. Luckily my cup had polka dots on it!
Day 81 Twirl | Whirl | Curl
Dandelions are one of my most favourite flowers to photograph close up. From a distance they look quite plain and can often be thought of as just weeds, but close up they are full of twirls, whirls and curls!
Day 82 Venture
Karioi maunga (mountain), which is an extinct volcano, who oversees the small town where I live. She is the subject of some of our legends, and has the profile of a sleeping lady - wahine moe. I took this from the sea where we spent ventured out yesterday for a days fishing with my nephews.
Day 83 Weather
As you in the north are moving into the spring, we in the south are holding on to our last days of summer. Today was a perfect example, with footsteps on the beach a reminder of the magic summer we have had.
Day 84 Neglected
A bit of a neglected spot in the garden ...
Day 85 Take a Drive
I took a drive to the beach today. I usually walk or run there but today my Dad wanted to do some beachcombing so I went for a drive with him. It was a popular day for horses today which I love to see!
Day 86 Rejuvenate
I found this feather on my run this morning. Feathers for me inspire a range of thoughts, one of which is our ability to seek freedom and rejuvenation no matter where we are. So, sort of related to today's prompt ...
Day 87 Reflections
Some abstract playing today with oil on a mirror and a macro on my iphone.
Day 88 Dangling
I know you most of you are waiting for Spring to arrive, but I am trying to keep hold of Summer! Seashell mobiles created by my nephews dangling against the blue sky - what could speak of summer more than that!
Day 89 Look for the Light
The sun was not being that cooperative ... so made my own light today.
Day 90 Glimmer
I don't know that the sun is going to hang around for the golden hour today so I had a go at seeing how well my iphone could capture sun starbursts ... still a work in progress I think!
