Not a landmark as such, but someone who has been a big part of my life for the last few months.
Farewells are such a hard part of this journey! Good people who come into my life, and then leave again as an assignment ends. While promises are made to keep in touch and visit, deep down you know this part of your life has completed its course. It takes a while to adjust and remember to be grateful that all that was and that there is immense value in connections made, whether they are for a short time or an eternity. Yet another lesson in presence and the gifts it gives.
Always annoying when the gas runs out ... when you have no car, its always a challenge to figure out how you will get it filled! After one and half years the kindness of others has always seen me get it sorted without any problem!
