Arrived back to Port Vila on New Years Eve. Setting intentions for 2017! Nga mini o te tau hou!
2/365 One Word
Well two words in my case ... setting my intention for 2017. Read all-out it here.
Contemplating white space ...
Often on my arm; often overlooked ...
Some of the things on my table that make me smile ...
6/365 Where I Stand
My choice of footwear on a tropical island ... so lucky I don't really like shoes and jandals are my favourites!
White on white. The gorgeousness of a frangipani blossom. A bloom given to me by my next door neighbours son this morning - just perfect for my POTD?
8/365 Get in the Picture
Well not quite all of me ... but part of me ... it's a start ...
What lies around on my desk!
Words on a page ... word for today ... "breathe" ... one of those days ...
Well not quite steaming ... smoking instead ...
12/365 Icy Bokeh
No icy bokeh in the tropics ... fairy lights and candles we do have!
13/365 Currently Loving
One of my greatest loves about living in a tropical island paradise is that I have learnt to surf! The ocean has always been my place - a place I have felt comfortable with and sought solace from. Being able to go outside my comfort zone (particularly the fear of failure and looking stupid zone) every single time I go out in the water because my desire to be in and with the ocean is much greater than my desire to surrender to anxieties is truly one of my greatest blessings over this past year and a bit.
My hammock outside my front door .... always inviting me to come and smol spel nomo!
A sign today that I need to send love out in abundance, even, and especially to, those places I least feel like sending it!
The view on my walk home from walk - quiet and tranquil Port Vila harbour. A few deep breaths and that tranquillity fills my soul - always.
Nothing like the bubbles from a cold Tusker to welcome home/back old/new friends!
Choosing to start my day like this ... journalling ... a practice I still choose to some days forego ... yet each time I do make the space, I learn something new - even if it's only that I have a lot of clutter in my head!
It's difficult to find chilly in the tropics. However, this chilly is of the delicious kind! SWITI icecream - made right here in Vanuatu and is delicious! And being from a premium ice-cream making country such as Aotearoa, that is saying something!
20/365 My Neighbourhood
The lane at the end of my road. It's not a bad outlook to have!
21/365 Winter Berries
No winter berries but definitely lots of pretty pink flowers!
Some days the photo just has to be the photo you have! The view from my bus on the way to work ...
Ceiling fans in motion - a necessity!
My desk tray at work ... all this says is that work is hectic and this is where I am stuck for a lot of hours at the moment.
Nothing remotely spontaneous about this .... still stuck at work ...
26/365 What I'm eating
Eating the sunshine ... not a great photo at all ... but the passion fruit are tasting like sweet rays of sun ...
I love photographing feathers ... the lightness, the airiness, the whitespace ... all takes me to a place of calm and quiet ...
28/365 Off Prompt
Flowers from the village ... where I was today.
Trying to experiment with contrast - colour, shape, pattern ...
30/365 Bare Trees
Not a lot of time to go looking for bare trees today! So I settled for the bare branches of a bush broom!
The balance between black and white .... shades of grey in the middle ... or as clear cut as this?
